Questions about how that content is handled are answered by that agreement and by the firm's own privacy notice. In particular, that content is never used to train AI models without the firm's written agreement.

Cookies and similar technologies
We use Google Analytics for every visitor. It uses cookies to count visits and to show us which pages are read, from which country and on which kind of device, so we can improve our website. You can switch it off at any time with the "Turn off analytics" link at the bottom of every page. That stores your choice in your browser, removes the analytics cookies and stops our analytics and advertising tools from loading.
If you visit from the UK or the European Union, that is the only one we use. For these visitors Google Analytics is used only to improve our website: its advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and the ad tags in our links are not passed to it. We don't use advertising cookies or similar technologies. We work out where you are from your device's time zone, without contacting anyone else. If we can't tell, we treat you as being in the UK or EU.
If you visit from elsewhere, for example the United States, our website also uses:
- Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, to understand how our website is used and to measure our advertising
- The Meta pixel, to measure our advertising on Meta's platforms
These providers set their own cookies, and how long they last is explained in their own policies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and you can ask us to stop using your information at info@fablelabs.io.
How we know which ad brought you
Links in our ads include tags that say which campaign and ad they belong to. When you arrive through one of those links, the page tells our own server which ad it was, so we can count visits per ad. We keep only the ad tags and the page you landed on, nothing that identifies you. If you then contact us through one of our forms, we also record which ad brought you. Both stay in our own records only. This does not involve cookies and we don't share it with the ad platform. If you turn off analytics, we don't count your visit.

All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are: our customers are law firms, so we use the work contact details of the lawyers and staff who use our service on their firm's behalf. We need these details to provide the service their firm has asked for, and they would expect us to use them in this way.

This is expected and has little impact on them.
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for service updates or marketing purposes are:
- Consent - we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and you can always object to direct marketing.

All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are: we tell lawyers and firms who have contacted us, or who are our customers, about our service and updates that are relevant to their work. We only use work contact details, and anyone can opt out at any time by using the link in our emails or by contacting us. If you are a sole practitioner or a partner in a partnership, we only send you marketing emails about our own service if you have agreed to receive them, or if you are a customer or have asked about our service and we gave you a simple way to opt out when we collected your details. Every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out.
Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for legal requirements are:
- Legal obligation - we have to collect or use your information so we can comply with the law. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to erasure, the right to object and the right to data portability.

Who we share information with
Joint data controllers
We have a joint controller relationship with Meta Platforms, Inc. We use the Meta pixel on our website for visitors outside the UK and EU, to measure and improve our advertising. The pixel records visits and actions on our website, such as form submissions, and sends them to Meta. We and Meta are joint controllers for collecting this information and sending it to Meta. Meta is solely responsible for how it uses the information after that. The essence of our arrangement is set out in Meta's UK Controller Addendum, which forms part of Meta's Business Tools Terms. You can read how Meta uses information in its privacy policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Data processors
Technology providers that host and run our service (Railway, Cloudflare, Clerk, Google Workspace and Granola). They host our website and product, store our data, manage secure sign-in, and provide our business email, documents and meeting notes.
AI and analytics providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, PostHog and Google), some of which are based in the United States. They provide the AI models that power our service and help us understand how our website and product are used.
Others we share personal information with
- Professional or legal advisors
- Relevant regulatory authorities
- Organisations we're legally obliged to share personal information with
- Advertising platforms, including Meta and Google, which receive information about visits to our website and actions such as form submissions from visitors outside the UK and EU, so we can measure our advertising

Where necessary, we will transfer personal information outside of the UK. When doing so, we comply with the UK GDPR, making sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (advertising platform), United States. The transfer is covered by Meta's UK Data Transfer Addendum, which forms part of Meta's Business Tools Terms.
